Alexander and his partner were very professional and courteous. They addressed the issue with my kitchen sink and also suggested the replacement of a one and 1/2 inch pipe with a 2 inch pipe to prevent problems in the future.

About Freedom Plumbing and Construction
Mt Airy's Trusted Plumbing Services for 20+ Years
Family-owned and built on honest work, we handle everything from midnight emergencies to full bathroom remodels with the same care every time.
Twenty Years of Plumbing Repair and Installation Experience in the Foothills
Wayne Montgomery spent 15 years learning the plumbing trade before he started Freedom Plumbing and Construction, and he's never looked back. What began as a one-man operation has grown into a full-service plumbing contractor serving homeowners and business owners across Mt Airy, Pilot Mountain, Dobson, and the surrounding foothill communities.
Wayne started his own business for one simple reason: he wanted to give clients the kind of attention and honesty that gets lost at bigger companies. That's why every call still gets an over-the-phone estimate and a conversation with someone who actually knows the job, not a call center script.
Over the years, our residential plumbing and commercial plumbing work has grown to cover everything from water heater installation and well pump repair to sewer line replacement and new construction plumbing. The services list got longer, but the approach never changed: show up, do the job right, and treat every property like it's our own.
Our values
The Values Guiding Every Plumbing Service We Complete
We built this plumbing company around three things that matter most to the people who hire us. These values show up in every toilet repair, every water heater replacement, and every bathroom remodeling project we take on.
- Quality craftsmanship: whether it's a simple faucet repair or a full repiping job, we do the work the right way the first time, not the fastest way.
- Honesty: you get a straight answer about what's wrong, what it costs, and what your options are before we touch a pipe.
- One-on-one attention: Wayne and his team treat every homeowner and business owner like a neighbor, because in a lot of cases, we are.
What We Offer
Credentials That Back Up Our Plumbing Contractor Work
Trust matters when you're letting someone into your home or business to work on your pipes. We've built a reputation in Mt Airy and across the region that's backed by real credentials, not just a sign on a truck.

Freedom Plumbing and Construction operates under license number 35446, so every plumbing repair, installation, and inspection we perform meets state requirements and industry standards.
Home Advisor Screened
We've been vetted and listed through Home Advisor, giving homeowners another layer of confidence before they ever pick up the phone to call us.
Chamber of Commerce Member
As an active member of the local Chamber of Commerce, we stay connected to the communities we serve and the businesses and families who call this area home.
Our Process
How Freedom Plumbing and Construction Works With You
Getting plumbing work done shouldn't feel like a guessing game. Here's what to expect when you call us, from the first conversation to the finished job.
-
Step 1: A Real Phone Estimate
You call and talk to someone who understands plumbing, not a dispatcher reading from a script. We ask the right questions and give you an honest estimate before we ever schedule a visit.
-
Step 2: On-Site Diagnosis and Plan
Our team arrives on time, inspects the issue (sometimes with a plumbing camera inspection for hidden problems like sewer repair or slab leak detection and repair), and walks you through exactly what needs to happen.
-
Step 3: Completed Work You Can Count On
We complete the job to code, clean up after ourselves, and make sure you understand the work before we leave. If it's a bigger project like a bathroom remodel, we keep you updated at every stage.
Why mt airy trusts us
Why Homeowners Across the Region Choose Our Plumbing Services
People in Ararat, Claudville, Pinnacle, and beyond don't call just anyone when a pipe bursts or a well pump quits working. They call a team that's proven itself for over 20 years.
24/7 Emergency Plumbing Services
Pipes don't wait for business hours, and neither do we. Our 24/7 plumbing services mean a burst pipe or failed well pump gets a response any time, day or night.
Financing Available
Plumbing emergencies and remodels can be expensive. We offer financing options for qualifying projects, so cost doesn't have to stand between you and the repair you need. Contact us for more information.
Pride in Every Job
Wayne built this company on the idea that quality work speaks for itself. Every residential plumber and commercial plumber on our team carries that same pride into every job, big or small.

This company was amazing, he was very informative and extremely nice. He was able to find the leak really quickly that others couldnt find and he also didnt mind putting our dryer duct back in place which he didnt have to do. I will definitely be using him again and referring him to everyone.
